Back to questions - Are seats reserved?
-
Yes. All seats are numbered and reserved, including those in churches.
- What are the best seats?
-
Different people have different opinions about what are the best seats. Some prefer balcony seats, for instance, and others prefer seats on the main floor. Some prefer to be closer to the stage, while others prefer to sit further back. If you have special requests, please note them when you purchase your tickets. All Music of the Baroque performance venues have wonderful acoustics.
- Exchanges, donations, and refunds
-
If you are unable to attend a concert, please let us know as soon as possible. Our performances are often sold out and letting us know you can’t be there increases the likelihood that another classical music lover will be able to attend. Please don’t let your tickets go unused.
Subscribers unable to attend a performance can exchange their tickets for any other performance in the season for which seats are still available. The exchange is free unless they are exchanging the tickets for a higher seat category. Call the Box Office at 312.551.1414 and have your tickets ready. Exchange requests are accepted until 5 PM on the last business day before the concert. Please note that if a performance is sold out, we may be unable to fulfill your request.
If you are unable to exchange your tickets, you may donate them to our Box Office for resale; a receipt for the value of the tickets will be provided by mail as a tax-deductible donation to Music of the Baroque. Although we appreciate donations far in advance of the concerts, we will accept returned tickets by phone as late as 15 minutes before a concert. Just leave a voicemail message with your name and seat locations for the Box Office at 312.551.1414. Don’t worry, we’ll retrieve it before the concert starts.
You can also turn back your tickets using this form.
All concert tickets are non-refundable.
- How will I receive my tickets?
-
Tickets for the 2024-25 season will be sent out in late August 2024. If you choose to have your tickets shipped, they will be printed and mailed to you within 2 business days. Tickets purchased within one week of the performance will be available for pickup at Will Call starting one hour before the start of the concert. Tickets may also be emailed to you.
Back to questions - What if I lose my tickets?
-
If you lose your tickets, simply call the Box Office at 312.551.1414 and new tickets will be printed and mailed to you. If it’s too late to mail tickets, they can be reissued and either picked up at the performance or sent by email. Even if you forget to bring your tickets to the concert, the Box Office can check your record and reissue your tickets.
- Are children welcome at Music of the Baroque Concerts?
-
Children 8 years and older are welcome to attend Music of the Baroque concerts.
- How do I become an usher?
-
Ushers for Music of the Baroque concerts are members of the Saints, an organization of volunteers for the performing arts. While ushering is their most visible presence, the Saints also provide other kinds of volunteer services for nonprofit, as well as some for-profit, groups in the Chicago area.
Because the Saints believe that groups like Music of the Baroque enrich the community, they volunteer their services in exchange for seats at performances.
The Saints have provided volunteer ushers for performing arts groups since the organization was established in 1980. It is believed to be the first and only organized volunteer support group of its kind in the country to serve the entire performing arts community.
For more information, contact the Saints directly at 773.529.5510 or at info@saintschicago.org.
