Anne Bach

Anne Bach was appointed principal oboe of Music of the Baroque in 2017. Since moving to Chicago in 2001, she has worked as an active freelancer in and around the city. She performs regularly with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chicago Philharmonic, and has played extensively with Lyric Opera of Chicago, Joffrey Ballet, and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. She plays English horn and is assistant principal oboe in the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra, where she has been a member since 2004.

Anne Bach studied with Richard Killmer at the Eastman School of Music, where she was awarded the prestigious Performer’s Certificate. She has served on faculty at Vandercook College of Music and Sherwood Conservatory at Columbia College of Chicago.
